AFV-35267First brought in as Centurion Mk V tanks, the first Sho't Kals entered service in 1970. They were upgraded with new engines, a new 105mm gun along with a variety of other detail improvements, and saw action in the Yom Kippur war of 1973. Despite a victory for the IDF, some 200 were knocked out. Further upgrades led to the Sho't Kal Bet (Sho't Kal B) in 1976, when the tanks continued to serve alongside some US M60A3 and Merkava 1 tanks as well. The next development was the development of the Blazer armor or ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) and this led to a third upgrade to give us the Sho't Kal Gimel (Sho't Kal C) which is the subject of this kit. It saw action in fighting in the Lebanon in 1982.
Kit features detailed exterior, reactive armor and smoke dischargers (anti dust cover for smoke dischargers), metal gun barrel with rifling, M1919 .30 cal machine gun and FN Mag58 machine gun, UZI submachine gun (fixed wooden stock), Galil assault rifle, mortar, ammo boxes, stretchers, extinguishers, DS2 decontaminating apparatus, one-piece vinyl tracks, black rubber road wheel tires, black nylon cord, copper springs, separately molded on-vehicle tools and equipment, jerry cans with integral racks, stowage boxes, photo-etch and clear parts.
