Takom 1/35 Tiger I Early Production SdKfz 181 PzKpfw VI Ausf E Tank w/Steel Wheels & Zimmerit Kit

In April 1945, as Allied forces advanced into Germany, the scarcity of German heavy tanks led to the consideration of deploying old Tigers from training facilities for combat. Consequently, a unit comprising 6 Tiger tanks and several Panthers from the Bergen training ground was assembled under Oberleutnant Fehrmann's command. This makeshift battalion engaged in combat with Allied armored divisions for a brief period before all tanks were either destroyed in battle or succumbed to mechanical breakdowns.
